I think this was ported from PhotoLab Elite. Improves rendering a step further by intelligently increasing local contrast while effectively suppressing distant atmospheric haze without producing pronounced halo effects. However, pretty obviously, if you don't use NIK much I wouldn't upgrade.ĭon't forget ClearView for Nik Color Efex. Just the vastly improved U-Point selection modifiable with luma and colour was enough for me. There have been many improvements to NIK, 4K support, much improved UI, etc. If you do not use PhotoLab: FREE DxO PhotoLab 5 ESSENTIAL

Protected areas visualization for Control Points in Color Efex, Silver Efex, Analog Efex, and Viveza (shows interaction for Control points` masks when mask for one is enabled and for other is disabled) This makes using multiple apps with Contol Points more useful. Plus many, many more already that are not in the old Google version.ħ. New Optical Modules available for Nik Perspective Efex

Some apps are now Apple Silicon (not sure why all are not)Ħ. Integration with PhotoLab Pro 6 Elite ( and previous versions)ĥ. Major improvements to Control Point masking using color and luminosity.Ģ. It is NOT "belly-up but actively in development at DxO.
Preset analog efex pro 2 upgrade#
For people like me, who still have that old, functional software, is there a compelling reason to upgrade the the new DXO version? I know that many people still use and love Silver Effex Pro. I still have that old program although I don't use it often. I am one of the people who purchased into the NIK Collection years ago before it went belly-up.
